• I can offer detailed psychological assessment for a range of mental health issues, personality difficulties, and developmental problems.
  • In the assessment we will explore reasons for seeking support, what you hope to gain from intervention, and think about the most suitable next steps. The assessment may also involve the use of questionnaires and other measures if appropriate.
  • At the end of the assessment session, I will provide feedback and suggested outline of treatment (if indicated). This will be summarised in a brief assessment report.
  • I am able to provide specialist assessments around risk of violence (including HCR 20, SVR 20 & ARMIDILO-S) and cognitive functioning (including WAIS IV).
  • I can offer Expert Witness reports for medicolegal matters.
  • If appropriate and agreed with you, therapeutic intervention will be offered.
  • I work using evidence-based models, such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Compassion-Focussed Therapy (CFT), Mindfulness, and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). Decisions about the approach or approaches to use will depend on our formulation of your difficulties and will be individualised to suit your needs.
  • I believe therapy should aim to be goal-driven and time-limited.
