I completed my training as a Clinical Psychologist in 2005. Since that time, I have worked predominantly with adults in a variety of NHS mental health settings, from community teams through to prison In-Reach.

To work as a Clinical Psychologist in the UK, there is a legal requirement to be registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC). This organisation is responsible for regulating a number of health professions. My registration number is PYL 03872.

I am a chartered member of the British Psychological Society (BPS), and a member of the BPS Division of Clinical Psychology. Membership No. 099708.

My academic qualifications consist of a Bachelors, Masters in Health Psychology & Doctorate in Clinical Psychology.

I am a registered provider of psychological therapies with Bupa, Aviva, AXA PPP, and Aviva

I am trained in EMDR and am an EMDR Europe Accredited Practitioner

Time-limited and goal-oriented - we will agree on a timeframe and goals for therapy to ensure that we are clear about what we are working towards.

Evidence-based - I work using models of therapy that have evidence for effectiveness, such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Compassion-Focussed Therapy (CFT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness. I am also trained in the use of Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).
